Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

Although I do not have a full set of either I would have to go with the timeless classic look and feel of clay over the beauty of the ceramics. If my girl is lucky in the casino tonight I may acutally be able to get a set of ceramics tomorrow. Wouldn't that be grand.

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

I'm not going to cast a vote in this one, because I like both compression molded and ceramics equally well and use both types for my cash sets.

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

I love how these old threads are re-surfacing with new comments from newer members.

I would have thought the voting in this one would have been more 60-40 clay-ceramic - not as lopsided - like 90-10 as it is now.

Maybe more of a...

for clay and
for ceramic for me.

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

In my poker dreams I have two sets, custom clay for tournaments, and a salamander themed custom ceramic, with denominations, for ring games. I also have 2 tables and an extra room, so I don't have to put the tables up between games. Unfortunately, it's just a dream.

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

I love em both. I love being able to stack towers and towers of chips with my paulsons.

I am also looking forward to my NJ Skulls which are on the way. I know this may sound weird - but I love the sound and feel of ceramics! I would have loved to been able to get in on the WSOP replicas but I don't really need another tourney set ATM. Although I suspect that down the road I will eventually get a set of replicas, as well as ASM customs, and a set of authentic casino chips from a defunk casino. I imagine by the time I die I will own a monster collection - this chip collecting is an illness!!
