Yes bud jones chips are definately nice, but they are harder to get since they never made fantasy or custom chips. My preference would be clays first then bud jones and last chipcos, of course you cant really go wrong with any of those its all personal taste.

For display purposes I love the Ceramics, their vivid color, full graphics, and writing on the edges make for great conversation pieces. But, for playing I like clay Paulsons.

I have some pretty old Paulsons from The ElDorado and Casino Panama de nationale, they are worn and tired looking, but still retain their THC and the insert is still flawless. Yet, when I play at Chipco casinos (some of which have been opened less than 3 years) there will be chips in play that have virtually no graphic left!

And by the way.. If I ask for a Bud, bring me a can... Not a handful of overhyped chips!

Yes and no.. They are better than the average chip (including diamonds and dice). But, are they really "on the market"? Near as I can tell they are about impossible to get your hands on! And I believe that scarcity is the ONLY reason why they are coveted. IMHO their quality and appearance is less than both Chipco and Paulson.

it could be the dumb question of the day, but by composite do you mean the plastic w/ real edgespots? Because both Co.s offer ceramic.

My vote goes for ALL of the above... (indecisiveness I guess)

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

I voted for Ceramic, but definately would have picked I Love them both had it been an option.

Clay has an awesome feel, Ceramic has awesome graphics. I am a graphic man myself, and love my Nevada Jack ceramics, not to mention the Suits and Eqyptians, so that gets my vote. But I would love to have a clay set as well.

Re: Simple Preference - Clay or Ceramic?

I enjoy ceramics here and there, but clay is where it's at for me. Let me splash the pot with some Paul-Sons and i'm happy as a clam.
