LOL, people really need to quit taking JoJo so seriously
BTW, he did have a point with his post, mint/uncirculated chips from Jim at the Chiproom are cheaper and better.

I'm not exactly pro-sidepot as I think their products are generally overpriced.
However, I do think Le Paulson Noir are worth looking at if you want a higher/more traditional value tournament set. I have 50 of the yellows and they're very nice chips, comparable in feel and sound with Paulson casino chips (I use them with my St Jo's). The spots combinations of the 25-1000 also float my boat, though that is a matter of personal preference.
The comparison with Jim at the chiproom isn't that fair for tournament sets - it's rare to find a set with anything larger than $100s at all and where $500s and $1000s do exist (eg: Ritz, PNYs) they cost a lot more than $1.32/chip.
So I agree that for a cash set, these aren't worthwhile. But for a tournament set using 25s - 1000s I'd take these over any of the other home Paulsons and, unlike many of the very nice ASM and BCC customs out there, they do have the Paulson feel and sound. If I didn't already have tournament sets, I'd probably get some myself.
Regards,
David.

I'd rather pay more money for something I really like rather than save money by buying something I am not completely satisfied with. Secondly, there are very few casino Paulson sets out there that I would consider investing in and they cost a hell of a lot more than $1.32/chip.

For $1.32 per chip you can get customs that look like what ever you want them to. Regular price is $1.49?? Really? $1.49 per chip that anyone else can buy and bring into the game? Awesome deal!
I would kick myself in the nuts before I would pay that much money for a mass produced chip.
