Hello all,

I want to add to my existing DS set but I have heard that the colors are different now. V7 I believe. No idea which version I have but I bought them a few years ago.

Anyone know for sure? I want to order higher denominations ($25 and up) but I really want them to match.

Any info is appreciated.

Head on over to the NJ forums on their site.

I think I saw that they may have some reserves of the the older type or the ability to still fabricate the older type.

You could also just email them. Kim is pretty good about responmding to emails.

I have calls and email into them but still no response. I suspect it's because of the holiday. Appreciate the response though.

I do know they have the older style chips in the Skulls.If you call them just be sure to tell them you want the old style chips in the Desert Sands and you should be ok.

In the Desert Sands at least, I found virtually no difference between the old chips and the 'new' chips. In fact I had NJ make me 'preV7' chips as chipjunior suggested and they were so unsatisfactory that NJ sent me 'new' chips as replacements and they matched almost exactly.

I would order a sample set and see how well they match. I think you will have a very hard time telling them apart.

Thanks, Moose. Looks like you answered one of my questions. Sounds like the older color is now custom only.

I'll check out a sample set. The blue was the one that looked different to me in the pictures. I think NJ is still using the older pictures but I found the V7 on another site.

I am a little nutty about matching. I hope I don't have to go another direction for the tourney set.
