Chips: 393 | | | help me decide... i know i posted this earlier, but now i am in a spot.
i was originally going to have the following denoms in my tourney set:
$5 - $25 - $100 - $500 - $1000 - $5000
however, the $5 and $25 chips i wanted, i can't get.
do i need a $5 chip ???
if not, then i think the set will look like this:
if i do need a $5 chip, then i need to pick a different $25, because the $5 treasure chip does not go at all with the rest of these.
let me know what you think.
Thanks.

It is entirely possible to get by without the $5 unless of course you want to play $5/$10 or such. I personally don't normally use more than 3 or 4 denominations at a time, although I generally have five or six denominations in my chip sets. This allows for colorups, cash and tournament simultaneously, and for me to be a crazy chip junky.
Sorry, this may or may not help, but the real answer can only be determined by you.

I personally wouldn't add a $5 as I would want those $1000s and $5000s in play in numbers.
Nice job Ryan! This along with your sweet cash set you brought this weekend to the LSR and you have yourself a sick one-two cash-tourney punch. |

This would strictly be for a tournament...
and I guess I am asking more for the sake of getting opinions as to whether or not the $25 chip being the only one from that particular casino looks odd with a $100 and $500 from the same location, and the $1000 and $5000 being from the same.
Does that make any sense ???

On occasion I run a H.O.P.S. tourney (Hold em, Omaha, Pineapple and Stud) and I stick the stud round as the 4th round so by that point, the ante would be 25. No problems, and no need to deal with 5s. |

They've done this in the WSOP and probably elsewhere.
