I'm still just looking around for what kind of chip I actually want. For financial reasons, I want to avoid the whole chip-buy-frenzy everybody here seems to suffer from.
So -at the moment- I'm thinking just to get some proper solids, no inlay, no stamp, nothing. That way there's nothing on the chip that will annoy me after a while. I can use the chips for different formats/blinds. Plus, I just like solids anyway.
Here's the thing. I love the mold on the Paulson solids in these threads:
- What is the official name of those Paulson solids? - Can you buy those not hot stamped? - If yes, maybe anyone knows where I'll get the best deal? (in Europe)

Paulson solid are Paulson solids - meaning not inserts or edgespots, solid color. The mold is called Top Hat & Cane (H&C). Paulson does not sell this mold to the home market anymore only to casinos.

No Paulson do not sell blank chips with any mold that I know of.
Holdempokerchips.com has plain solid color Paulson web mold chips on their site. I just got some myself but ill never see them with nothing on em, i had mine sent directly to Suckoutking to be hot stamped!!
So, just to make sure, the only way to get chips with that mold, is to scout ebay for old casino chips? I can't buy those in a new set, hot stamped or not?

Correct...Sometimes you can find some solid hot stamped paulsons on eBay or the classifieds here that are in really good shape. You might try searching for Paulson Fun Nite's or Grand Casino's.

How well does the webmold hold a hot-stamp? Decent recess? Scrapping needed? Got pics?
