Need advice: Buying chips, etc. for charity

OK, our church has an auction coming up and the wife recommended that I buy some chips and cards to donate for auction.

I have some thoughts, but I thought I'd tap into the greater chip community!

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Requirements:
1) Something that the average joe poker player would think is cool (and would bid on.)
2) Under about $100.
3) New. I don't want to donate any used merchandise.

What's your time frame?

You met get Gene(ABC) or Joe(Palm) to help with the donation and give you a good deal on something like a 300 chip custom ceramic set.

I've done a PSO promo for free Nevada Jacks before just to donate. If you've got time that's an option.

300 piece set of Dunes Commemoratives would run about $90

Good call, they are.

So the question becomes: Would Average Joe Poker prefer 300 NJ Skulls in an aluminum case or 1000 sopranos in an acrylic birdcage?

Help me out.

Tough one. I'd say the Sopranos would be the bigger hit. More chips, get a cool carrier, heck I'd even like that!!

Don't know what the shipping would add but here are some nice sets of Nexgens for a decent price.I think you can get an additional 15% off.A 500 piece set of Las Vegas Nexgens in a mahogany case would be hot to a newbie!

Re: Need advice: Buying chips, etc. for charity

you could get super diamonds hot stamped with denoms for .09/chip so 1000 chips would be $90 plus shipping if you have a trademark account.
