Chips: 5,460 | | | Where have all the Faux's Gone (and other faux questions)... I am VERY new to the whole "faux thing" having just purchased a scad of whites and reds. Whatever happened to the other colors? Everyone talks as if it's a get them now or never situation. Are these being discontinued? That woul dbe most sad.
Does anyone know what the faux clays are actually MADE out of?
Besides color and and design is there much difference between the faux clays with the 3D dice and the super-diamonds. I have occasionally heard them being referenced together and was curious what people thought of the super-diamonds as an alternative (should the faux clays disappear completely)?
And when may I join "Faux Clay Nation"!!!??
These really are fantastic chips!! The dice is not particularly attractive but the feel and sound and overall action of the chips are just fantastic. My girlfriend and I played with them last night. She kicked my butt, but I think it's 'cause I was too wrapped up in admiring my new FC's!!
Thanks,
Gary |

As to Faux Clay vs. superdiamonds, the consensus is the super diamonds are lighter and don't have the same feel and sound that is so popular with the faux.
Yes, they have been discontinued, and all attemps at replicating them have failed so far. The reds and whites are pretty much all that are left new.
Enjoy them! |

I had 200 black SDs that were incredible. They a terrific sound and great feel to them. The other 2300 in my set (white, green, and red) were just as you described....light, slippery, gross....

- Gary | They were produced in one HUGE manufacturing run. The margins that can be made on them are apparantely very thin and the manufacturers aren't interested in making them anymore because of it. The original importer doesnt want to have them made again either because of the low margin. Joe at PI tried to have them made again and the cost to figure out the right mix and get them made was not going to be feasable. Not to mention the manufacturers didn't want to deal with it because of the low margins
Side note: I PM'd you about extinct FC color. let me know if you are interested
