I thought it would never happen -- A local game I play in, the host LOVES his slug chips. He knows I collect chips and has seen lots of mine. Mentioned his chips were real clay, and got me started.
For months now he wouldn't listen. 'These are real clay, said so on the website'...
I was close to giving up, sent him a link to Nevada Jacks site, currently offering 500 skulls for the same price as 300. Guess my bickering sunk in, he bought a set!

I saw that special the other day, that's a good deal. I got in on that during the last holiday sale over Christmas. I was thinking about buying some more at this price.
Perhaps you could come out here and talk some sense into some of the local tournament organizers. Some of these guys run $200 buyin tournaments with those crappy 11.5g bought-em-at-WalMart dice chips. Zero security.

Unlike in cash games, the security is way better than with custom chips. I mean, how wants to put some crappy dice chips for a buck or whatever facevalue to it in his pockets.

The NJ site now has a deal on the 300 set as well for $99 ... in case anyone didn't notice.
That's also a great deal, less than the 500. Only problem is you can't specify your breakdown. Too bad or I'd have to pickup a set of 300 even though the last thing I need is more chips.
