What is the collective wisdom on Faux wear? Although mine are almost new and show few marks, I've seen some pics where the FCs look a bit chalky from wear.
Q1. How much use does a Faux typically have before it starts to show the wear?
Q2. Does anyone have any tips for cleaning them to remove or diminish the wear (e.g. Oxiclean, etc?). Any negative side effects?
Q3. Lots of nation ole-timers maintain that a worn Faux plays better than a new one. Is the wear just one of the endearing traits of Fauxs and perhaps they should be left 'as is'?
Quite honestly, after playing with them for over a year, I see no wear at all. The edges have rounded a bit I guess, which makes them somewhat more playable, but that's about it.
Mine aren't really showing wear at all. I have had more label issues as of late, sticking mainly, but nothing serious...it was with the high denom chips that weren't seeing much action!

I have some greens that show a bit of wear, because I bought them on clearance from straightflush.ca. They were clearly loose in a bag with each other at one point. The wear really isn't too noticeable after a bit of play.
My greens and reds seem to show a little more wear than my other colors. I think the red seems to show the most, although part might be origional marks from the factory that I didn't notice until they came into play. My dyed chips show no wear and I have used them a few dozen times. Fauxs are pretty hard chips and at my games they get a lot of abuse. It is nice to see the sharpness of the edges wear down a little, especially since some of the chips seem to have a small lip on one edge. That does disappear after they are in a few games.
