Chips: 2,521 | | | Paulson sizes: where do Winner Clubs fit in? I thought I was sure about this, but not so much anymore. I was hoping Eisenstadt's mold design page would have some clarifying info, but it doesn't. I also read CC>CC's Chipology 101 pdf (again), but it still didn't quite answer my query. So, here goes. Gaming Chips - Paulson Chip and Inlay Sizes shows a list of current GPI/Paulson chip and inlay sizes. I was fairly sure for awhile that the Winner Clubs were the largest size - 48mm, listed there - but I've seen others list those as 45mm, which isn't included on that page (39mm, 43mm, and 48mm). Also, there are two different inlay sizes on the Winner Club chips; I believe they are giant and grand, but I'm not at all sure anymore.
Could it be that the plain mold Winner Clubs are unique and not included in that size chart? And if so, does anyone know of a 48mm example to compare to the Winners (which I would assume really are 45s)? Or for that matter, any 45s that aren't Winners? |

Sorry, trying to stop looking for a minute. Would you agree that, at least on the 5k/10k chips, the larger inlays are giants and the smaller inlays are grands? Or would you call them something else?
And I'm still left to wonder a) what chips out there are 48s, b) why the Winner sizes aren't included, and c) why there aren't other chips out there like the Winners. |

Chips: 2,061 | | | Re: Paulson sizes: where do Winner Clubs fit in? The solid WCs have the standard paulson inlay (7/8th")...across all the solid chips...that's why the 5K and 10K solids look like vinyl records, a little goofy IMO, and the solid 50Ks even goofier! The spotted chips are harder to determine as they seemed to try to scale up the giant inlay so they match the chip size better, which I think was a good call as they are very balanced (inlay versus bare clay showing in the face). I will have to take some good measurements tonight and will update here.
I would rename the inlays gargantuan versus giant, especially on the 50mm! Quote:

Chips: 2,061 | | | Re: Paulson sizes: where do Winner Clubs fit in? Rose,
I measured my chips and found the following, on average, for the spotted chips:
WC 1000s: 43mm
WC 5000s/10000s: 48mm
WC 50000s: 51mm
All have very similar inlay sizes of 35mm |

What is the history of the "Winner's Club"? Another casino that closed? I thought I read somewhere that it was for a Korean junket operation?!? |

Chips: 40 | | | Re: Paulson sizes: where do Winner Clubs fit in? Very nice looking set of chips. I remember when winner circle chips used to sell for a lot less than other paulsons on ebay. I picked up like 20 of them for ten bucks back in the day. Now it seems like they sell for more than most other paulson chips on ebay. They make a fantastic looking set though. |
