Chips: 104 | | | Who has Paulson Private Cardroom's? I am thinking of getting a set of Paulson PCR's from Apache, does anyone have these and if so do you have any issues with them. I have heard a few people complain about stacking issues, is that a issue?
Also is there anywhere else to buy these beside apachepokerchips?
Thanks |

Thanks | They do have a bit of a wobble in large stacks, but the issue is seriously overstated in my opinion. I don't need a stack higher than 20 anyway.
Other than that I think they are fantastic. |

Its not overstated to me...Its really a matter of opinion obviously, and to me they stack horribly....They look sloppy in stacks on the table, and wobble at even 10 chips high (or less)......20 chips high and its super annoying (to me)...and at 30-40 chips high its an unbearable wobbling tower of clumsy chips....If I am going to pay over $1 per chip, I should be happy with them and its a deal breaker for me. Its the only reason I dont own any of those chips.
I'd get a sample of 20-40 chips and see how you feel about it. Worst comes to worst you can re-sell them here on ebay for a small loss-

Chips: 40 | | | Re: Who has Paulson Private Cardroom's? I have a couple hundred of them. They used to wobble a little and were slightly warped, but not too bad. They are a nice chip and flattening them is really easy. I just put them in a case really tight with some chipcos at each end and after a couple days any wobble was gone. Simple fix to a small problem. I would personally buy more if they came up on ebay for less than what they sell for new. If you like the edgespots and look of the chip, I would recommend them. |

Chips: 42 | | | Re: Who has Paulson Private Cardroom's? I had 500+ at one point and loved the colors, edges, and hotstamp. The wobble was very noticable compared to my other Paulsons. After I painstakingly flattened all 500+ of them, I sold them. |

Its just like the ceramic spinner problems...It doesnt bother some people, but when I puchased a bunch of the Nevada Jacks american beauties, then later the chipco wsop replicas it bothered me to no end how you could literally spin %75+ of them like bottle tops...Who wants chips spinning around and sliding all over each other in your stacks?...or wobbling around on top of each other?.... Just a pet peeve of mine personally- |

Tourney set
160 x Green (25)
100 x Black (100)
50 x Pink (500)
10/20 (UK pence) limit cash game
300 x Red (5)
200 x Yellow (non-denom, plays as 20)
100 x Grey (non-denom, as £1)
I can use the Yellow and Grey non-denoms as 1000 and 5000 in a big tourney game but I try to keep the two sets separate.
Great chips and no stacking problems. I probably only stack 20 high or less.
Get some samples first to be sure...
Good luck

At first they also had those stacking issues, then i baked them in the oven with ceramic blanks and c-clamps like it was mentioned in another thread. Now they are great. No Problems with stacks of 35. I really love those Chips, the edge patterns are nice and the hotstamps look really classy.
So if you don´t bother to perhaps flatten them out, i would definitely recommend them. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
