Hey. Has anyone ever used these chips before? I've been shopping around for a big set for a good price, and I think I found a great deal. 1000 chips for $100. I don't want to post the site link, but if it's ok to, I will in my next post. |

Chips: 886 | | | Re: 4 aces I personally haven't used these chips but something similar. I'm pretty sure many others on this site has, as their first poker chip experience.
If these are your first set of chips then maybe it's ok. But many here will tell you that if you are willing to spend a little more you can get a great set.
If you need a thousand chips and are really hesitant to pay a lot for them then I guess........it's ok. Do you need that many chips now? Because you can go a long way with a 500-600 chip tournament set.
Try this if you have not already: Apache Poker Chips, Clay Poker Chips, Poker Chips For Sale
Oh and before you purchase try this place for reviews: Home Poker Tourney - Poker Chip Images
Good luck |

The numbers wear off fairly easily, they look more or less the same from a distance, and they don't stack that well.
I would save your money, browse this site and you'll find something you like in your price range.

Chips: 555 | | | Re: 4 aces Welcome to CT. These are not the chips you're looking for. They are made of plastic which is molded around a cheap metal slug. Yuk. Sure, they'll work, but you can do sooooooo much better without spending much more.
1) What are you using your chips for? 2) How many chips do you think you need? 3) What is your budget? Can you stretch your budget?
4) Do you need/want denominations on the chips?
Answer these 4 questions and there will be myriad CT'ers waiting to give you recommendations. |

Chips: 40 | | | Re: 4 aces Hi, I still have a custom-labeled set of these 8stripes. I guess it won't take long you look out for "more". These chips or the "laser chips" like Ultimate, Rondelo etc are the typical beginners' chips here in Germany, sold en masse at ebay. I think the best way to get real awesome looking chips is to design custom labels for Progen/PI clays or Nexgens, they cost about 1/3 the price of expensive clays (Paulson e.g.). If the gambling goes on and on an expensive set of paulsons, real casino chips or customs can bring the highest satisfaction |
