So it turns out I got an unexpected Christmas bonus from work. Not very much, but the thought is what really counts. Greg also paid me for my help with the CT banner ads, so I've got a few bucks I think I might put towards some more chips. I'd like to get a tournament set, but am torn between types. BCC, Paulson, more ASM or TRK?
Some background...
I already have a killer set of the ASM Avalons. And a great set of King's Crown TRK's. I'd really like to add a set for T1500 with enough for colour-ups and possibly rebuys for 10 people max. What can you suggest, and what do you think will have the most bang for my bucks?
I'd like to spend around $500.

Not that I have a vested interest or anything  , but I would strongly recommend these. They don't exactly fit your description of what you're looking for since it's more of a T10,000 or T5,000 set, and it's more than $500 bones, but it's a fantastic set nonetheless..

Saw your ad mattj, and I guess I'm looking for something a little more unique. The LeCoves are nice, but way beyond my budget and the breakdown doesn't really work...
Any other thoughts?

I would get a set of solids from ASM. Maybe H molds. Something like this:
100x T5
100x T25
100x T100
100x T500
Breakdown:
10x T5
10x T25
7x T100
1x T500
Enough T500 chips for one T1500 rebuy and one T1500 addon for all ten players. You could add some T1000 chips for additional rebuy/addons. |
