General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

I have 500 starburst, very good condition, not used very much at all. 200 green, 200 yellow and 100 purple. They are NCV with the Paulson Top Hat and Cane. They have a starburst inlay, with pictures to come. Received with very sharp edges, very little use since!

Curious on a rough estimate on these, may decide to sell/trade. If this isn't allowed, my apologies, and feel free to delete the thread.

Thanks!

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

You might have to run your sale auction style with a starting bid. I've seen these sell for as high as $1.30 per chip and as low as $.68 per chip. Two things affect the price: condition and color. Make sure you take good pictures. Be prepared for people to ask you to break the set. A lot of folks use them to supplement existing sets. Good luck.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

Yellow and Green is a fantastic color combination and based on your description I would say $1 - $1.25 per chip having bought 1000 myself over time. If they are excellent then asking $600 should get a buyer. $700 might not. $500 they would be instagonzo.

I know the pictures aren't the best, but any specific picture requests from angles/of different parts of the chip will be met to the best of my ability.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

If you want the best price, try to get better pictures. Also, if you're serious about selling, Tenpercent, the site founder, gave every member inaugural "poker classified" points, so that you can post things for sale under the classifieds, even if you haven't earned points. It's politely frowned on to try to generate interest in a potential sale without actually putting an ad on the site. These are nice looking chips and should generate interest. You don't have to put a price on your ad--you can ask people to pm you with offers.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

I'm sorry, I was just looking to get a rough estimate on what they're worth to decide if I was going to even consider selling. At this point, it seems I'll hold on to them, but I won't do this again, considering it's frowned upon.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

Also, how do you get the best pictures? As you can see, mine turned out mediocre at best.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

It's no problem. I just thought I'd tell you since you're new.

I'm not the person to ask about pictures, because I have trouble loading my pictures unless I reduce the quality. If you ask for help, maybe under general topics, I'm sure you'll get some advice, if not direct help.

As far as price goes, a fair price will be somewhere between $.88-$1.20 per. If you're new to selling, make sure you ask the buyer to pay for shipping and insurance. Lately there's been a lot of trouble with members having purchases lost or not delivered.

Re: General Appraisal Question: Paulson Starbursts

Not exactly new here, just took a very long break, and was unaware of the new system. Thanks.
