| Re: Advice for buying Casino Paulson chips. You have made a fine choice. In my humble opinion, nothing comes close to a set of real casino Paulson's. The most desireable set is totally up to you. Whatever you think looks the best. However, if you are look for "popular" sets, the King or Queen I should say is the Olivia Poker Hall chips. They are beauties. However they are very hard to come by and will cost you about $3 each. Other very popular sets are the Crystal Parks and Vineyards. They are spendy too but not on the Olivia $$$ scale.
If you are looking for a mixed set (my favorite), just start looking around. Determine what denominations you want and go from there. If you are looking for $.25's the Detroit Casino's (MGM, Motorcityand Greektown) all have great inlayed quarters. Depending on which casino you are looking for they run from $150 per rack and up. There are some cool hotstamp fractionals out there that may be a bit cheaper but not by much. Fractionals are awesome chips but tend to be in high demand.
The fun part is finding which $1 you want to play. Choose a favorite casino and post a WTB thread. It is likely that someone from CT live realitively near there and will be willing to pick the chips up for you for a small fee.
From that point choose a $5 and you are good to go. You may want a $25 or a $20 for rebuys as well or if you play big games a $100.
A general rule of thumb is about $150 per rack for minty chips. Fractional's and $20's run higher.
Good luck and keep us posted!
