does bcc or chipco contain lead???

hi

i have little kids around the house ,just want be safe anyone one know the fact? is there any lead in blue chip company chips? is there any lead in the paint they use for chipco chips?

If you're concerned, you should test the chips you have to see if they do rather than rely on someone else's test of their chips. You can get a lead testing kit from the hardware store. But remember that its only a problem if someone ingests the lead (eats or inhales). Simply handling them is not dangerous like say mercury is.

I have not tested any BCC chips but I found this in an old thread:

"Just to clarify, Blue Chip Co. manufactures in North Las Vegas, NV and it has never used lead in the manufacture of any of its chips.

i dont care if their is lead in my chips, people have been playing with them for years and nothing, so, im sure the lead in paulson's are the flecks on the high denom's. the shiny stuff you see on the chip, asm use brass. dont eat them or crystalize it with a razor blade, line it up and sniff it or heat it up in a bottle cap and inject it. dont do that and then your good. come on, if your concerned , say you have kids or a dog, then keep it away from them, simple.

when i have a big stack, ill look at my cards behind them,superman can see through the cards but cant see through my chips.

That's not the lead, that's something like aluminum. The lead is powdered and part of the entire chip composition.

As I understand it, the "ceramic" material of Chipco chips does not contain lead (but I am not the authority on this). However, the inks used in the Chipco transfer process are anyone's guess as to lead content.
