T-Mold Set

can someone offer their advice to my growing t-mold set? i just bought some a rack of forest greens for a small 300 tourney set. I can't decide on the 100, 500, and 1000.

Should the 100 be Black or Charcoal?

Should the 500 be Purple (violet) or Lavendar?

Should the 1000 be Canary Yellow or Arc Yellow?

I say all pastels. Charcoal, Lavender & Canary.

Re: T-Mold Set

i can't really decide. Now after i see what Mustard looks like after oiled, there's another option that will befuddle me. i think im leaning toward charcoal, purple, and either mustard or arc yellow. I am starting to shy away from canary yellow as i believe is it is a little too bright for the more subdued colors of my set to be.

BTW, does anyone know when HPC will have T-Mold blanks in stock again?

Re: T-Mold Set

Gray looks better than charcoal with forest green IMO. Gray looks good with lavender and lavender goes well with arc yellow. There's your set.

I agree. It's more up to your likes & dislikes than anything else. Some have went with standard colors, some all "bright" ones. It all comes down to what you want. I've been wanting an "Oklahoma" themed set so when I snagged some blaze orange chips I decided to go with: white, red, black & the orange chips. Plus, I'll add in a couple of other colors like sh. green & plum. Again, it's your preference......go with your favorites. As for Michael (HPC), I can tell you that he's very busy with orders as the t molds are gaining in popularity. That's why I'm waiting awhile and hoping that I can do my custom color set sometime soon. Send him an email and find out. GL with the chips!

Re: T-Mold Set

I have a set of t-molds and it is:

Day Green (will be dark green soon) - 25
Charcoal - 100
Lavender - 500
Arc Yellow - 1000
Grey - 5000
Brown - NCV or alternate 5000

I have always preferred charcoal, lavender, and arc yellow to black, purple, and canary yellow. Part of the reason is because the USPC use to use chips that were closer to these colors and I really like them!

The other reason is because I feel like black, purple, & yellow are to boring and like every other set. Especially for a solid chip, with charcoal, lavender, & arc yellow I got enough of a change without really compromising the traditional chip colors, while still getting some brighter chips that I think go great together!

In the end, it all comes down to what you think looks the best!

I don't know if Michael knows when he will be getting a shipment of new T-molds. Last time I spoke with him he said it would be a while and he was not sure when. You might try emailing or PMing him to see if he has heard anything.

If you want some charcoal, lavender, or day green I have some in the M2M that were extras from my set. Also, below are some pics of my set:

Good Luck!

Re: T-Mold Set

Smitty, marvelous set. i was thinking about picking up some chips off your sale, but there isn't enough to fill up my small set. wanna open up the sell?

how's arc yellow compared to mustard? i think i ruled out canary yellow due to the brightness and commonness of it in tourney sets. As for the charcoal/black, i definitely agree that charcoal goes better with green after seeing all those pictures. As far as lavender/purple, i am still split, lavender does look good, but how does purple go with yellow? I think i like the darker purple as compared to the lighter lavender, but still cant decide.

Thanks for all the help so far.
