I've got my little issues with buying and selling, but I've got some personal issues to get through the next few months then after that I'll be looking to grab a new set.

I'm either getting a 600 piece set of PNY's (which I like the chips, but can't stand NY...the theme, not the city...too blah not very casino-ey) or a set of Crystal Parks...which I love the colors of. I'm talking cash set by the way for a 50¢/$1 and $1/$2 game.

I'm curious as to condition of $1's for the CP's, is there a good amount in very good condition? I'm probably going to get 250 $1's and 200 $5's to start.

My other question is the availability of 50¢ chips for the CP's (I know the PNY's are the BC's). Are they obtainable or are there only a scant few?

Also $25 CP's I see some sell for a few bucks more...what's the deal? I guess I'd take $10's too...I'd love $20's...but I'm also not looking to spend $400 on 40 chips.

Any input or direction would be appreciated...and if anyone is thinking of selling a set in the future, let me know and I'll be ready in the wings once I get my life settled.

There are a bunch of $1's out there. You don't really see them in bulk sales though, but they can be found pretty easily.

I've never seen a sale for the .50's in any kind of quantity. I haven't been looking for that long, but still...

The $10's are nice, and the $20's are awesome. I tell you what though, if you can find 40 $20's for $10/per, buy them. They go for about 3x that. The good thing is that there are enough $5's around that you can make up the difference with a bunch of those.

Basically agree with Hotty.

Lots of $1s and $5s. $10s and $20s can be found
but you'll pay for them.
$25s are available, you just have to go looking.

My cash set is CPs, and it wasn't hard to come with 220 $1s and 100 $5s, but I've given up on adding $20 or $25 chips to my CP set for now, and I'm using Samurai NCVs for a $20 chip. I'm just not willing to lay out that much dough for a chip I'm actually playing with weekly.

80 of my 100 $5s I got from Ulysses and were minty-fresh, as were some of my $1s, so you can get them in great condition if you're willing to pick and choose. My set is pretty mixed in quality, since I assembled the set as quickly as possible to get them on the table and paying for themselves sooner.

I'm going for PNY's now...after seeing that the inlay has printed edge spots...I thought it was weird. Plus the PNY's have plenty of minty chips and $25's.
