Staying in the super high roller suites @ the bellagio...hard work has its privileges .... Anyway I am planning a 'chip grab' of $1 chips from the strip and HOPEFULLY the downtown area so I can make some wall art for my poker room.
any must haves you think I should have on the list chime in....
Do any of the casinos in Vegas have fractionals? I was just curious. I am wanting to make a cash set from real Vegas chips and fractionals would be awesome.
Had a great trip....did not spend as much time scouting for chips as I expected....the poker was just too profitable to do anything else.
IF you are a cash game player....and you dial your game back to strict TAG...there are 2 tables @ O'Shea's that are literally right at the open entrance by the strip....If you can get a seat....sit tight and get ready for a great ride!
What a stroke of GENIUS it is to have a 1/2 cash game right on the street. Every drunk a-hole who ever saw poker on TV is willing to give away at least $100.00. In 3 days I took my original $50 buyin and turned it into $2400.00 all except 450.00 came from O'Shea's the rest from the Flamingo...which is an even bigger fish tank....and 275 from the Luxor.
What you find @ O'Shea's is a collection of locals...and dealers...that play the game to increase bankroll for the 'better' games @ Wynn..bellagio...etc..I went to the Flamingo on the advice of one of the dealers I had played with for about 6 hours....They allowed me to buy in short $50.00 instead of the usual $100.00 and I ran it up to $450.00 in less than 2 hours....imagine a a 1/2 NL game with $35-$50 in EVERY POT!!!! talk about fish in a barrel.
the chips I did manage to collect:
Bellagio
Caesars
Mirage
Treasure Island
Bills Gambling Hall - Formerly Barbary Coast...still have the same great people working there!!!
Harrah's
Flamingo
O'Shea's
Excalibur
Luxor
going back the Weekend of 10/20...looking for more chips that weekend...

Peace Out!
i had a .50 chip from the Four Queens in downtown LV
I loved playing at the Flamingo when I was there last month. The dealers were nice. There were two distinct crowds tho, the evenings had all the drunk fish and the morning/afternoon players were the regulars and retirees. I had alot of fun and cant wait to go back.
