Basically, any casino tournament chip will be without a $. There are plenty of hot-stamped solid examples. Oh, and do roulette chips count? They don't have values let alone currency symbols (although they might have table numbers).

For home chips, the first that comes to mind is the Paulson NPS set.

You can't go wrong with non-denominational chips. You can use them in cash games and in tournaments. You can fill all your needs with less chips.

BTW, The Casino de Mexico chips is without the $ sign.

I believe he is saying you can use one set for low cash games, then take the same set and use them for a high value tourney set, thus eliminating the need for a seperate cash and tourney set. Thereby saving from needing more chips.
