Chips: 71 | | | What exactly is in your chinese chips? After reading about the "smell" coming off of the chips from China and the odd feel of them (emptypocs post in POKERCHIPLOUNGE forum) do you have concerns with health issues?
I have held back from buying any of the imported chips because of this...your talking about something that you will be handling ALOT. With all of the recalls lately, from costume jewellery made from lead in gumballs machines, to Thomas the Train (a premium product!!!) with lead paint, does anyone else have any concerns? |

Is Paulson made in China if not I have nothing to worry about.
Yes, with the problem of China, I would not buy anything from them if possible.

Over the last 2 weeks, I have been crushing the chips up and mixing them in with the dog's food, about 1/2 half dog food, 1/2 crushed chips. There haven't been any ill effects yet. So, it looks pretty good for now. |

I think most of the slugged chips from china have iron or steel in them, not lead. If you are worried, there are lead test kits that you can buy that have a small pad that you wipe on the chips and test for lead.
Or, you can buy good chips.

PW | I was speaking more of the "chinese clay" type chip, what is in the composite?
Not just lead I was talking about...heavy metals, etc. Have you seen some of the pictures of the cities in China?
Maybe I am just paranoid...although just because you think that they are all out to get you doesn't mean they aren't! |
