Trust me; there will be much pr0n when I'm through (although 2600 labels might take me a little while to apply - I hope to have enough finished for a 12-16 player T2000 at the end of July).

Keep in mind I got the 1st-run solids, strictly for large tournaments so I don't have to worry about people walking off with and/or damaging my chips too much. They'll replace my < 2 year-old hot-stamped Nexgen "Bees" that are currently without a home...

Which would I pick up? I haven't handled the "ProGen" chips ($0.36/chip at DCG), so I can't compare them for feel and sound, etc. Labelling the ProGen "clones" with a similar label will set you back an additional $0.10 - $0.20 per chip (depending who you get them through and if laminated with a textured polycarbonate). I can't remember what PokerChipLounge's deal is for custom labelling; are they $0.49 + label? That's a bit hefty; can nearly get T-mold blanks + Hog Wild's super-thin labels for that price.

here's someone who knows how chips are made- but in china- you wont find a lathe-- these chips are made using a high pressure injection mold machine-- sort of ingenious actually--- but they definately dont clean em up with a lathe- the dont clean em up period

hello, i just joined this site and i know im late in this topic. these chips are the progens and i just fixed a (chinese)friends car who told me his uncle in china can get me the progen chips for .28cents

find a new chinese friend-
he should be able to get them for much less
in fact you can probably get them here in the USA for less then .28

Our chips are slightly different- different material composition but the same manufacturer and same process

working on new colors now but sont expect em anytime soon- china looks at colors differently as we do- so I need to reference pantones and then get samples made-- but were gonna introduce three new color/edgespots soon

I know I'm resurrecting an old thread, but what the hell? Has anyone physically compared the PIs and the ProGens? I know Joe is saying they're slightly different compositions, but how do they feel / sound / etc? Same? Different?

I have both, Labeled both. Both take the same Color codes for Label matches. The only physical difference is the simple Line Mold. That is it. I have a full set of PI's and they work Fantastic.
