So - I'm going to sell my Samurai Tourney set and buy some new chips - I miss buying chips and haven't been using my Samurai that much. I love the cash set and will probably grow that set and add some quarter pies.

Bad news is I really inspected my $500's because they always looked weird to me - and I find that I have 3 different colred $500's. The picture below shows the difference. You can easily see the bottom two are different - the base color is way off on the right one. The top chip is kind of inbetween the other two in terms of color and is hard to see in a picture, but the base does not match the dark purple edge-spot.....

I'd never noticed this until somebody mentioned it in another thread. Under the right light (natural, I think), you can definitely tell they're different... but under playing conditions, I'd never noticed it, nor hand anyone else I know. Even knowing about it, I have a hard time separating them...

The $1000s, on the other hand, can vary dramatically, depending if you got them from the same batch or different batches (especailly group buy vs. post-group buy). I used to have pics posted, but don't anymore.

Interesting, the middle edge spots on the bottom right one matches the base color of the top one. That base looks like a dark blue to me.

Yeah, the one on the bottom right looks blue to me. It is still a beautiful chip, and until I enlarged the thumbnail I couldn't tell a difference.

Is it noticeable when the chips are stacked?
