Chips: 4,044 | | | Question for Europeans - Denoms, none, or NCV I'd like to hear from the European contingency (both those inside and outside the EU) on the denomination question...
Option 1A) Do you prefer playing with chips with US $ on them?
Option 1B) Or do you prefer playing with chips with numbers but no currency symbol on them?
Option 1C) Or, do you prefer playing with chips without number or currency indicators at all?
Question 2) For those of you in the EU, would it be really nice to have chips with a Euro sign on it instead of a $ on it? Of is it not the big of a deal?
Question 3) And for you Brits, would you prefer a chip with a $ on it, or a Euro sign on it? (aside from having the pound on it)?
Weigh in if you've got thoughts.

Yes for tourney, no for cash.

No. I used to, but I've changed my mind.

See above.
Question 3) And for you Brits, would you prefer a chip with a $ on it, or a Euro sign on it? (aside from having the pound on it)?
Dollar.

Chips: 2,987 | | | Re: Question for Europeans - Denoms, none, or NCV Sweden has no Euro and I like options 1A & 1B alike. If a chip has a $ sign we just treat it like it was our curency. I do not think most considered this a big deal.
How ever we do play with Euro once in a while depending on which chipset we are using. |

1 B. Just numbers. It's more versatile that way.
2 Doesn't matter if it's $ or €. Would rather have no currency sign and numbers only.
3 Not relevant, I'm not British

i would prefer just numbers...or even NCV´s.
But it wont be a problem if there is a $ sign on them.
But before i would buy chips with an € sign, i would feel better with numbers only. |

For a cashset I really prefer the $ sign. Dollar Chips are way easier to get. And if I later on want to sell the set again, it won't restrict me to european buyers.
My last 2 sets were a "Numbers only" custom Tournament Set aswell as "$" Custom Tourney Set. And I plan on a "$" custom cash set later this year.
For a german GB I made a inlay with the € currency. 8/10 wanted it be changed to a $.
On another note: Many US and non EU companies treat europeans like 2nd class customers (I have had that experience several times), so I don't expect anything €'ish anyway.
So to finish that off: A "€"-set isn't worth it IMO. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
