Chips: 611 | | | Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson? Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson chips?
They look like they might be more prone to that problem than the old mold (which has the PAULSON CHIPS along the outer rim).
If you've seen "Mythbusters" on the Travel Channel and feel inclined (or mischievous enough) to test the hypothesis, let us know the results.

Chips: 2,653 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits Paulson mold Yes, I've been shuffling 20 -100'$ shaped Paulsons for 7 weeks now and one chip has one small chip off the outer ring but man are these chips smoothe. They jump into a stack now smoothe as silk. My Reverse H&C Chips do the same thing the top part of the hat will chip off occasionally. |

Chips: 636 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson I am hardcore shuffling 20 green Private cardrooms since 2 weeks. No one is chipped. i think this only may happen under normal use, if the outer ring is really off-centered. But tony is right, they are getting really smooth. For me, this is a plus, as i like the feeling of a worn chip more than the rough feeling of a new one. |

Chips: 2,970 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson I only have 2 sample sets of the shaped inlay Paulsons (new), 1 sample set of National Poker Series (NPS), and 1 of the Trademark "Classics" (TC). I found the softer chip material and "Paulson Chips" mold was highly prone to chipping where the hat&cane is closest to the edge (my TC $1000 chipped the first day I shuffled them).
I'd think this new harder material would be less apt to chip along the edge (despite the thin outer ring)... but even some of my Samurais (set) have chipped along the edge (after about a year of regular use), so I guess it'll happen to even the toughest clay chips with enough time and wear. |

Chips: 102 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson I posted a complaint on another thread about this problem. The outer rim is narrower on one side of the chip than the other with all my samples and that part of the chip will break off easily. They didn't really have to do the chip with an outer rim. I still think these chips were rushed to market and consumer's are now paying the price for that. |

Chips: 349 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson This is another ding vs. the Paulson home chips, no pun. So lets make a list of all the crap going on with them.
Big time warping
Color transfer
Fake shaped inlays
Smooth inlays
Repeating edge spots
Chipping
.95 cents and up per chip. Priceless |

Chips: 807 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson I must say, the Private Cardroom Paulsons are some of my favorite chips ever. They are definately my #1 out of all the home Paulsons. The warping doesnt bother me because its so minor. I noticed the same issue with the President New Yorker casino Paulsons, but because theyre never stacked higher than 25 its never an issue for me. And I havent noticed any chipping at all. I know what youre talking about, because Ive seen some casino Paulsons with minor chips, but I havent noticed any of the new home chips with chipping yet. |

Chips: 349 | | | Re: Has anybody seen chipping along the thin outer edge on the NEW suits mold Paulson I guess so. The smooth shaped inlays are painted, not punched, therefor they're fake. |

I am getting the feeling that Poker4eveR really dislikes the new Paulson chips... Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I am looking at my sample set of shaped inlay chips on the new mold and looking at the yellow chip there is no way that the inlay is "painted, not punched".
I can see definite edges and depth where the inlay has been pressed into the chip.
Can anyone confirm this either way please? | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
