Re: Pharaohs pricing (hpc.com)

I think Michael just updated the site. I noticed there's a few changes...notably an excellent review added on the Samurai page...with a friggin' typo.

Re: Pharaohs pricing (hpc.com)

Yep, They were $1.05 for 300+. They were also $1.20 for 299 or less.

Two factors here.

1. We have gone to a 1 price structure which actually makes buying less then 300 chips cheaper
which is most of our clients needs. Not everyone is wealthy like CT members
Larger sets will now be a little more expensive, but this is a small portion of our sales.

2. Paulsons new 5% price hike just went into effect last month so our cost is now 5% higher.

Re: Pharaohs pricing (hpc.com)

Michael, you fooled me, I checked your site and saw little boxes next to the $5 and NCV chips....I was so excited...then couldn't find the "buy" button.

I'm sure it was my typo...I'm constantly correcting my posts for errors. I no type very good.

Re: Pharaohs pricing (hpc.com)

Awwww man. Last Friday I found out I was going to have a game this week and decided I wanted more chips for it. I spent Friday figuring out the best breakdown and I had 500 Pharaoh's actually in the HPC shopping cart on Saturday at $1.03 per chip. However, in a moment of complete stupidity, I told myself that the game would be fine on my current chips and to wait a few weeks to buy more Pharaoh's (i.e., after I paid off the last set of Pharaohs and poker table I just built ). So, I did not go through with the order. Damn my sense of fiscal responsibility. I think the lesson I should take away from this is to never ever take chips out of the shopping cart once you put them there b/c bad things can happen.

Even though it is a price hike for me, I definitely see MSPatton's point. I'm sure there are a lot more people out there who want to add 100 or 200 chips to an existing set up and/or build a set over time than buy a 1,000 chips off the bat. I do hope the new pricing structure brings HPC a lot more customers and wish MSPatton the best of luck with it.
