Paulson Top hat and Cane, HELP WANTED

Hi!

I`m considering ordering myself a set of Paulson Top hat and cane chips since i`m tired of my plastic dice chips. When looking around on a couple of forums i`ve been alerted that the paulson chips might be defect when receiving them, with them not being flat and so on. I need you`re advise and experience too know if this is still an issue or if has ever been an issue

I don`t want to pay alot of money on chips that isn`t worth the money. Since i`m from Sweden the chips are extra expensive customs fees + other additional costs.

Thanks in advance

Best Regards
Martin/Sweden

its only an issue if you plan to stack them more than about 40 high.

What JM said. There are however lots of people on this site that think thats a big deal. I have the shaped inlays Paulsons and I'm happy with them. I know other people who have the Private Card Room Paulsons that really love them. Paulsons despite their flaws are arguably the best clay home chip on the market. Matsuis now are a whole new ballgame but they aren't clay; but a damn fine chip.

Re: Paulson Top hat and Cane, HELP WANTED

hi...
i have recently ordered 650 paulson private cardroom, they will be my first quality chipset also...after reading that a lot of the new paulson chips, especially the TH&C and the PCR, being warped and wont stack i was quite disappointed. But now i am really looking forward to them. I think that you wont realize any stacking problems at a real game, because nobody will build a single stack of 60 chips at a game.
Also those chips are really looking great and will be a lot better in quality, than every chip i came across at the games in my hometown (in europe nearly everybody is playing with cheap chips). Also there is a chance, that the new production (Paulson PrivateCardRoom NCV!) wont be warped.Perhaps GPI realized the problem, too. If they are warped, it would be easy to resell them without making a loss!

P.S.: For stacking tall buildings...perhaps LEGO works better!
Oh... and i nearly forgot to tell: if they wont stack well and you are really desperate, you can have a nice baking session with them!

Excuse my language...i just arrived at home after a party!

Well put, Felix. LMAO! Although GPI could and should produce a better product and considering that I have strong tendencies toward expecting perfection in a relatively expensive product, IMO there is still nothing like a Paulson.

Re: Paulson Top hat and Cane, HELP WANTED

I did want to say something else about my Shaped Inlay Paulsons. They really look and feel great. I spend alot of time shuffling chips and these chips handle great. For some reason they break in really fast like the first hour. I've got one stack of 100's that I've been shuffling for about 6 weeks and naturally theres a fair amount of chip dust on these chips. Once I clean the dust off with Pipe sheild they are as smoothe as silk and seem to jump into the stack.
