Playin' for Pinks

You guys remember the scene in Grease where the John Travolta & the T-Birds have a car race with Crater-face? The winner of the race won the loser's car - they called it "Playin' for Pinks".

Has anybody heard or seen of a group of people playing poker for the pink-slip (the right to own) the CHIPS of the loser(s)? Instead of a cash tourney, why not have the stakes be the chips themselves.

Re: Playin' for Pinks

Someone at HPT was talking about doing it for dice chips. Problem was that the winner of all the chips wasn't really the winner.

Re: Playin' for Pinks

Isn't that what playing at the casino is? You get to keep whatever chips you win.

Seriously, though, I think it would be scarier than playing for cash, some of these babies are hard to come by.

Re: Playin' for Pinks

Yes - much scarier (which is scary in itself, really that we think that way). But you are right. Friends can lose cash to another in a tourney and still be friends. But you take my chips over some #($*&#$ card on the river and we're through!!!

Re: Playin' for Pinks

I think if someone hosted a game like that, there'd be stacks and towers of dice chips on the table, and everyone playing like a donkey trying to lose them, lol!
