t-mold vs asm square in circle

okay I've ordered a sample of the t-molds (.59 peice). I really like the weight and feel of these chips. I can understand why people like the FC. Although the t-mold have way more color possiblities (at a price of course).

Does anyone have any asm square in circle blank chips. I'm just looking for a sample set (around 10).

Has anyone ever compared the difference between these two chips. These chips are only sold by one manufacturer individually.

Any and all help is appreciated. Thanks

TC

Re: t-mold vs asm square in circle

Might be hard to find a member with 10 blank circle squares, best bet would be to go straight to pokerchips.com and e-mail/call them and ask....They will send you 1 for free and you can pay to have more...At least that's what they did for me last year of a different chip.

Re: t-mold vs asm square in circle

TC,

I have some ASM horseheads that I learned to shuffle on, and I have a few Tmolds.

For sake of comparison, I would say that ASMs seem a little more pastel-chalky, and the T-Molds feel a little sweet-tarty (the colors also look sweet-tarty). In both cases, I am trying to be descriptive for sake of comparison as opposed to actually describing each chip.

Something about the T-Molds feel just a little firmer than the ASMs. The mold design--I think--is awesome. The colors are not as rich as the ASMs, but they are still nice. I have had color transfer with my ASMs, but I did learn to shuffle with these chips, and they have been handled a lot, bless their hearts.

I'm very interested to know whether anyone hotstamps or inlays a set of T-molds (or lazer engraves them!). I really like the chip for the price, and am considering them if I ever have a custom set. But if I ever do go custom--it will be a one-shot deal--I'll never get permission to do it twice, so I have to wait and see how someone else's chips turn out first.

GL

when you order your ASM samples, check out the roman mold too. it looks like poop in a picture but is really old-school and classy in hand.

I ran a search and found these pics of T-molds from CT user "burnvalley"'s m2m thread awhile ago:

Again, these are burnvalley's pics from another thread
