Playing with Chips in Airtights

Hi

I have been looking to make the higher denom's of my set stand out more than the normal ones particularly the 10k and 25k. I really want them to be 43mm chips but with them not being available till May or so from Palm Imports thats really not an option.

I mentioned the idea of using the high value denom's from a different set in this thread:
http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/custom...omination.html
But I guess with no reply's people dont think its a good idea.

So another idea I had was using Airtights to hold the chips hence making them bigger so that they stand out. But I wonder how the chips would pay if they were contained in airtights. Has anyone played with chips while there in Airtights? Do they play well or is it a bad idea?

Thanks In Advance
Cheers
Ian

Re: Playing with Chips in Airtights

I don't think they would stack very well. Plus it would just seem really odd, i think. I don't see a problem using another set's chips as long as they're the same composition (ceramic/clay/faux clay)

Mike

One should not drink the local water before posting.

Re: Playing with Chips in Airtights

Big Mike and Jamby

Thank you for your help. I personally do not own any chips that are stored in air tights so I have no clue how they would stack etc.

I run 8s

What are you implying? As I stated above I dont own any air tights so dont know much about this, it was only an idea no need to imply that i'm an alcoholic or worse yet a drug user. Seriously I do not appreciate it being implied that I am.

To All
I was just wondering, is there anywhere else that does 43mm chips? I would prefer them to be custom printed but I will ofcourse accept ones which I could perhaps lable or simular

Thank You
Regards
Ian

Re: Playing with Chips in Airtights

Besides the difficulty in stacking, you may find that spashing chips in airtites may cause ugly scratches or worse yet cracking of the plastic...

Good luck

Re: Playing with Chips in Airtights

They don't stack, they are too slippery and I can't get 3 of them to stack without slipping off.

Re: Playing with Chips in Airtights

I have just purchased 100 43mm chips so I wont need to play with chips in Air Tights. But now onto another question.

Can I relable Paulson St Charles's 43mm chips? If I were to get some thin vinyl lables printed could i just stick them over the existing inlays?

Also The chips I am getting come with a 43mm rack however I would like to store the chips in a bird cage, I dont think the 43mm racks will fit in a birdcage, does anyone know where I could get some racks for 43mm chips that would fit in a birdcage?

Cheers
Ian
