Chips: 529 | | | Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game Now that I have my tournament set in place, and my .10/.25 cash game set in place, I want to pick up another cash game set for a .25/.50 game. My .10/.25 set is very low in high denominations, and I'd like to stray away from just getting more of the same design.
I was looking into the Grand Island Clay, mostly because I love the looks of the .25 chip. The biggest problem with that for me would be availability (HPC only has 20 of the .25 chips left, and no .50s)
I'd also like to not spend a huge amount on this set of chips, preferably somewhere below $1 per chip. So, what do you think would be the best kind of fantasy chips for this set? |

Chips: 51 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game For a fantasy cash set, I personally love the first three denomination colors of the Paulson Pharaohs! If you just make your set of those with the 25c, $1, and $5, those colors are awesome together! I think that's what I may do with mine.
Good luck! |

Chips: 19 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game My message is basically the same as both of yours combined.. I love the Grand Island .25/.50/1/5 chips, but availability seems to be the biggest problem, also when I mentioned them here in the past I got negative responses on them.. Now I have my mind set that the next big purchase I buy will be .25/1/5 pharaohs |

Chips: 64 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game I'd consider Chipco Classics for this set. I'm a clay guy, but my set of Classics is one of my favorites. I use them for .25/.50. |

Chips: 500 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game I love the look of the Samurais. While they may be a bit more than you were looking to spend, you are getting (IMO) the best looking 25¢ chip out there. Keep looking and you will find something that floats your boat at a price that is agreeable with your budget.

Chips: 335 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game The new Paulson shaped inlay chips are VERY nice. There is no dollar or cent sign on them so you can use the 25 chips as quarters. There is no 50 chip so you would have to double up on the 25s. I do not have samples of the new Paulson hot stamps but I am sure they are just as nice as the shaped inlays and there is a non-denominated chip use could use for a 50 cent chip, and they are cheaper than the shaped inlay chips. If I was not so happy with my cold stamped faux clays for my tourny set I would get a set of the shaped inlay chips. Of course IMHO, the ultimate fantasy cash set can be seen in my avatar.

Chips: 200 | | | Re: Best Fantasy Chip Set for .25/.50 game I'm looking at the new hot stamped private card room Paulson's for a cash set. Like mentioned earlier, you'd have to use the 25 and then the 1 and 5, but it would work. Plus, they're Paulsons, and the hot stamped chips go for under a buck a piece, if you get a set.
