Chips: 156 | | | Alternative for the elusive Yellow and Grey Faux Clays With the prices of Grey and Orange Fauxs recently hitting 30-50cent, I can't imagine what 100 yellows would sell for.
So, if you can't get someone to let go of their stock, do these become an option?? http://www.thepokerchipcompany.com/C...style_1006.htm
Pokerchipcompany 1006 on the left next to the Faux.
They are 45 cents each, or 55 cents w/ a hot-stamp. They are not textured like the Fauxs, but the dice design is a good match. Also, if you use them for higher denoms, the progression from solids to edgespots makes sense too.
I have the 3 crown style, which is the same material - different mold, and the feel is great on these chips. Again, they don't feel like the fauxs, but they stack and shuffle great.

Chips: 367 | | | Re: Alternative for the elusive Yellow and Grey Faux Clays I have to admit that, with the shortages of the Yeallows, Grays and Oranges, I have had to stoop the lowest of lows and use NexGens for my upper denoms until I can find a suitable replacement (or the ever elusive Faux's).
I do have to keep them separated, otherwise I'd have some marked up Faux's and nothing but slugs and orange and yellow dust!!!!!!!

Chips: 156 | | | Re: Alternative for the elusive Yellow and Grey Faux Clays If it's going to cost in this price range anyway (assuming you can even find someone to sell them), these definately feel/stack better that Nexgens.
Now that I have about 400 more Fauxs being delivered tomorrow for my tourney set, I know I'm going to be looking for Yellows eventually.
Maybe not now, but at some point, I'm sure I'll want the yellow to use as a 1K chip, and if they are no where to be found, I may have to break down and resort to these as an alternative.
At that time, I will accept whatever Penance is required. |

Pull this again and you will be banned!!!
As much as I hate to say it even nexgens are better than dice.
How dare you compare faux clays to dice or even think of letting them touch each other. |
