| My first Faux Clay experience Well, I was hanging out with a couple high school buddies over the holidays and lo and behold a poker game broke out. Nothing exciting, just a micro cash game with some low-rollers over a couple cold ones... The interesting part of this game was the chips (of course.) My buddy breaks out a 300-ct aluminum case (and I'm thinking: "Here we go, show me the dice!") He did, in fact, show me the dice, but they were fugly faux mold dice!
I grabbed a stack to see what all the hoopla on here was about. My first thought: "Whoa!" They really are the closest thing to real clay I've ever handled. At that price, these chips simply have no competition. I'm not going to run out and sell my Paulsons to buy Faux Clays, but I'll admit that the chips I've paid 20-40 times as much for aren't 20-40 times as nice. I never thought I'd say this, but if the new sapphire mold ever happens, I'll be the next member of the FCN. I've been wanting a tournament set, and if I go faux for the tourney set, that's more $$ for the cash set! |
