I purchased these chips a while back, way before I knew what good quality poker chips were, and most definitely before I found this website. I bought them off eBay, with no case, a set of 1000 for about $65 total including shipping, and bought a case for about $35 shipped from eBay after the chips arrived. The auction claimed that they were clay chips, but now that I see some of the clay chips out there, I'm not sure exactly what they are. The person I bought them from had never sold or bought any sort of poker chips on eBay, so I'm fairly sure they wouldn't know exactly what they are. Also, the case I have comfortably holds 1000+ "dice" chips, as well as my 12.2g WSOP Excalibur chips, but these chips fit 98-99 a row if I shove them in (49-50 in the last two rows) so they seem to be just a bit thicker than normal chips.
The chips don't stand on their sides, and appear to have some sort of seam around the edge of the chip.
My question is, does anyone know exactly what these chips consist of? I just purchased some Mr. Chip WSOP Replicas for my tournament set, and I have been mulling over whether or not to keep these for a cash game set, or upgrade to nicer chips. Any opinions/information is certainly appreciated. Thank you!
