Cool Will Paulson do new "NCV" clay chips? (like the Pharaohs NCV's)

As a European player who likes to play tourneys as well as cash games, my options for a chipset are somewhat limited, unless i order a lot of chips, for which i do not have the resources atm. 300/400 chips is what i'm aiming at. The absence of a $ sign on the Nationals and Shaped Inlays is a step forward, certainly, but the values on the chips still limit your cash game options.
The Pharaohs NCV's are perfect (albeit a bit old) and they are on the top of my list, but they're not fully available anymore since october (only red, blue and green). So much for the Pharaoh's.

So my question is this: does anyone know if Paulson or any other clay chip manufacturer is working on another NCV set? I guess a lot EU players would love a new NCV set, including myself .
(To own a fully 'clean' set of Samurai Palaces is my ultimate fantasy, those are sooo beautiful )

The new hot stamped "Private Cardroom" chips have no $ on them.

Only if someone wants to order 100,000 of them will it happen.

Re: Will Paulson do new "NCV" clay chips? (like the Pharaohs NCV's)

Why is that?
I think a good A-quality clay chipset without any denominations or currency values will be very attractive to a lot of players, who'd like one set for both their cash games and tourney games...
The supply would surely mean demand, in Europe for certain.

Guess I'll have to wait some more

(Btw, the Mardi Gras NCV chips are nice looking as well, but they're not A standard, from what I read in the reviews. Shame.)

Re: Will Paulson do new "NCV" clay chips? (like the Pharaohs NCV's)

Paulson don't initiate any production of home chips themselves. And you can't order home Paulsons yourself. You have to use Trademark as a go-between, as they have exclusive rights for this. To make a home chip, you need to order at least 100,000.

No vendor since the non-denominated Pharaohs has thought it was worth the risk to order 100,000 or more non-denominated chips.

The majority of players in this end of the market prefers denominated chips.

Dimes said it all. Nothing I can add.

Depressing...
Any chance of a 'reprint' of NCV Pharaoh's then?

Maybe the market will change a bit, as European players have entered the market now, and I guess they've been the reason behind the removal of the $ sign on the last Paulson sets. For my sake, let's hope they take it one step further...

Re: Will Paulson do new "NCV" clay chips? (like the Pharaohs NCV's)

A reprint of the Pharaoh NCVs are not likely at this point:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/holdem...-opinions.html

I don't think European players in the long run would want non-denominated chips more than North American players. But as the total market increases when more European players demand clay chips, at some stage the market for non-denominated chips may be large enough for a Paulson order.

Until then, consider other clay options than Paulson chips.

I was a huge advocate of no currency symbols on both the hotstamp and shaped inlay paulsons and pushed for that.
