Chips: 14,477 | | Broken Starburst with imbedded foreign object Friday night game, host breaks one of his own chips. Said it was cracked anyway. It broke right along the line where this white plastic piece was. It looks like the "thing" left over on a plastic bottle whan you break the seal and remove the screw top or a section of plastic "zip" cable tie. Initially I thought it may be something they put in the chip, like rebar in concrete, but upon further examination it would have been visible from the edge. Appears to be a foreign object accidentally imbedded into the chip.
Reminds me of the time a Gyrol "Fluid Drive" (kinda like a big clutch or fluid coupling between the driver and driven machines) would run right. We found a pair of pink panties caught inside the machine. But, that story is for another forum.
Pics....

Chips: 33 | | | Re: Broken Starburst with imbedded foreign object I was thinking about it later, it looks like a piece of a zip tie. Maybe the bags of material are dumped into the hopper and the tie on the bag fell in the batch.

Chips: 395 | | | Re: Broken Starburst with imbedded foreign object Pretty cool stuff... I agree... Zip tie. On a side note... I worked for Coca Cola for 8 years ('92-'00) in sales. We used to find some amazing stuff in 2 liter & 1 liter bottles. We always swapped the product out from the stores very quietly and then took them back into the office. Great quality control but stuff still finds a way of getting through. |
