Where can I find a Paulson fantasy chip price guide
Hi all,
I was wondering where you can find a reference to the approximate value of Paulson Fantasy Chips? Is there such a guide that exsists? I have a collection of Fan of cards, Casino De Mexico and Fabulous Las Vegas chips and I would like to see what they may be worth. I have come to this web site through google search but I have not seen this addressed so far. If anyone can offer their help, it would be appreciated! Thanks! Don

Acctually I would like to know as well but my guess is that most of them is like $1-3.

There is no price guide for Paul-Son retail store chips. Since these chips were sold from the Paul-Son retail stores (all gone now, the stores that is) for about $.79 each, they are generally valued at about a buck a piece.
People have been known to pay more than a buck a piece. I peg the price at about a buck a piece because if you are really interested in getting casino quality made chips, with a H&C mold, they are available from local casinos for a buck a piece..

It is strictly supply and demand. Some of the Paulson fantasy chips, bring 3 times what others do. Some that brought 3x's last year, bring equal value this year.
I kmnow of no price guide, and if there is one, it's only a good as the last sale.

But why should a Paulson chip be valued for so much less than a custom made ASM chip which goes for $1.45 or so? Yes you can get a real casino Paulson from a casino for a buck each but you sure can't get a real $5 chip out of the casino for less than $5 which makes building a set quite expensive.

Re: Where can I find a Paulson fantasy chip price guide
Thanks all for the response! I understand all of whats being said. I purchased most of my chips after the paulson stores were out of stock. Naturally I paid more for the harder to get denominations. Does anyone think these values will still increase or am I better off just selling off the extras and get whatever I can. I see that the fantasy chips do not appreciate in value like a real casino chip does. The fan of cards series I felt had the nicest design but the denominations stopping at $5.00 made it less desireable to tournament players. Over the last year, I have seen less and less auctions on ebay for the fantasy series chips which I have. I wasn't sure if the interest had decreased in the fantasy series or the supply ran out? Maybe a little of both. I guess its safe to say a chip is only worth what another is willing to pay.
