Chips: 5,286 | | | I'm done with Ceramics
I am done with Ceramics until BG offers them to the home market.
Then, I won't get them because I like ceramics, only because they're BG ceramics.
Yes, they are "nice", and you can do whatever you want with them, but with everything that has been going on with them - they're BORING and they are all the same.
I saw somewhere where Button Potato said something along the lines of "Now that I have been disappointed with my ceramics, I'll focus on the (Matsui) group buy."
that's the way I'm feeling too. I'm seeing how many times we use ceramics to replicate a chip that we can't get in its original form. I've been buying them just so I have something to show up in my mailbox!
So.... I'm done. I'd rather expand my faux clay collection at this point than deal with more ceramic chips - smooth, textured, or whatever.
I want CLAY, CLAY, CLAY.
(anyone with me?)

Chips: 2,970 | | | Re: I'm done with Ceramics I'm definitely a clay man, myself. The only reason I'd get some ceramics is because you can make highly customized edge spot patterns and put text on the edges... which you obviously can't do with clays. tastic had a pretty sweet set of ABC "aligned" samples that were really out there... got me thinking about maybe going that route for a funky tourney set... but not anytime soon. I don't like the sound as much, don't like the feel (prefer a molded chip with some 3D aspect to it, not just a flat disk), and I'm not creative enough to take full advantage of the space for making high-quality graphics. Clay just has a certain classy nostalgia...
Just my opinion, of course. Having said all that, I'm always up for a sample set, so prove me wrong if you want. |

I have Mardi Gras Queen Casino (Chipco) for a normal cash game, Lucky Ticket Casino (Chipco) for Micro Limit or really large NL cash games. Skulls (NJ) and Tiki's (BR Pro) for Tounaments. I love them all but think I am done with Ceramics for a while.
I only have 1 set of Paulson H&C's so I think I will be building this area of my collection from now on.

Chips: 102 | | | Re: I'm done with Ceramics I'm with the clay people. I have Desert Palm BC's. I also have 3,500 NJ Skulls that I never use.
I can't see myself buying anymore chips unless Bud Jone's starts making chips for the home market. As much as this site supports the chip industry you would think that Bud Jones would have at least one good group buy.

Chips: 579 | | | Re: I'm done with Ceramics I LOVE clay chips, but I like my chipcos also. Ceramics depend HEAVILY on the design (obviously, I guess.)
Although if there were a fire and I could save only one set I am pretty sure I'd grab the custom clays.
Sorry my little Chipcos |

Chips: 5,286 | | | Re: I'm done with Ceramics I want to hear from the folks that got their Bellaggio and Condado Beach Ceramics in this thread - Great price, nice chips, but don't they leave you yearning for a little more?
Isn't the delivery of the new Paulson shaped inlay chips, the paulson hot stamps, the Matsui WSOP's, and the Proteges (yes, they are coming SOON) going to leave everyone a little more fullfilled? REAL CLAY NATION UNITE | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
