ok im ordering a set of 2006 WSOP replicas from abc. Im trying to figure out if i should get smooth or textured chips. If anybody has any pros and cons on smooth and textured ceramics it would help me out alot. thanks alot.

p.s. also if anybody has a few of the chips they would like to sell i would be down to buy em off you cuz i dont think abc has samples for these chips yet.

ABC sells a nice sample set that has several examples of each. You need to get that to make the right decision for you!

Get the samples and choose for yourself.

For me: The graphics of the smooth are slightly better and the stacking of the textured is slightly better.

My choice would be smooth - but handle both and decide for yourself.

awesome thanks alot man!!! i have a set of paulson NCV Pharaohs that i might be selling if i like these chips. but i dont wanna get rid of em and end up not liking th wsop replicas. so big decision. but thanks alot.

Personally I like smooths not because of the upgrade in graphics, but because I just like the feel better. In my experience I have handled Chipco Smooths, Sun fly smooths, and Nevada Jacks Textured. Smooths just feel nicer to me.

I have samples of some epokerdeals ceramics (on a textured blank -- not sure where they get their blanks) and my new Condado Beach set, which was done on the smooth blanks.

I absolutely agree that you need to get samples, but for my money I really prefer the smooth blanks. I've only played with real chipcos a couple times, but the smooth seem very similar to me. The smooths look, sound and shuffle great IMO.
