Chips: 113 | | | Mixing Clay and Ceramic I am thinking about adding a couple of High Denom chips to my ASM set, but don't want to wait another 5 months for them. Would it be weird to have both clay and ceramic chips on the table at the same time?

Maybe Plagues are the way to go for you?

Chips: 4,340 | | | Re: Mixing Clay and Ceramic Personally I wouldn't do it. I would look into getting some non denom clays (ie Paulson Cherries) and use them as the high denominations for now. People won't need printed denominations to remember what their T25,000 chips are. |

At the Northeast Regional CT game(s) we combined sets (clay and ceramics) so we would get a chance to experience and use different types of chips and it was fine but I would rather have a consistant set for regular games.

For a high denom chip where there are not many in play, it might work though. Most of the time you'll have just a few and they'll just be sitting on your other stacks. Personally, I go with another clay chip. Get some blank, stock ASM's and slap a label on them; much easier and quicker.

Chips: 120 | | | Re: Mixing Clay and Ceramic I am using my buddy Gene over at ABC to make me some ceramic edge-spot lined up high-denoms for my ASM set I recently traded for with *acesandfaces*. They are along the same lines as the standard ASM chips but with a "fantasy" edge spot combo.
I have an entire cash game set that Gene made for me and they are flat out incredible. Can't wait to get these with the edges lined up!
As you said, there are going to be way fewer of these high denoms out there and you can't just order 100 chips from ASM. 300 minimum.
I'll post pics when I receive them from Gene.

dolomite | This is exacly the reason I asked. I really only need a handful of chips(maybe 100), that will only be used maybe once or twice a year for big tourneys.
The design would flow with what I already have so they would "match" or at least compliment each other.
Looks like as a whole, the guys here are overwelmingly against the idea.

Chips: 5,832 | | | Re: Mixing Clay and Ceramic If you are already an ASM customer the 300 chip minimum doesn't exist anymore if you are adding onto an existing set (same mold and inlay style). Technically, you can order just 1 chip (this is a quote BTW but no guarantee when you'll get it). Also, they do carry some blank chips in stock and non-inlayed chips are fairly quick to turn around, ask 99% Evil. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
