I've been looking to get a good set of unique chips, and the Nevada Club Brass chips over at Apache Poker Chips caught my eye. I've never seen anything quite like them and wondered if anyone had any and could comment on thier looks, stackabilty and playability.
I realize they are very heavy but thats not much of an issue with me. Thanks.
I guess if you want ultra heavy chips, I don't know of any others.
However, for $.65/chip you could do much better. I've heard the paint will chip off of these chips fairly easily.
Edit: 1000/$339 isn't as bad, but I'll still recommend other options.
Oh, and I'll warn you, you will hear from the Faux Clay Nation (which remains the best value chip ON THE MARKET!!!)
And aint that the truth! For .045 a chip you really can't go wrong. The sound and feel of these chips is close to quality as you can get, and for the price that they're offered you won't find a better chip outside of the clay world. There are no edgespots it's true, but the brass ones you linked to aren't necessarily the best lookers either. Read the Faux Clay Review, browse the dozens of Faux Clay Threads around the board, and strongly consider these as an option.

I bought samples of these previously; one thing I disliked was their surfaces were often rough or jagged. I didn't like their handling or feel very much.
So are those basically casino tokens? Like the $1 tokens you'd use in a slot machine? If so I'd say RUN, do not walk away from them. Tokens are such a PITA to handle/bet with.
Next question is on the Tangiers...not having seen 'Casino' it dosen't really do as much for me as the Nevada Club, but while we're talking about paperweight strength chips I figure I'd ask...
