Chips: 214 | | | My First Faux Clay Tourney I'm a full convert. I usually play with my TR Kings at my twice-a-month home tourney, but they are full of grime, and I'm cleaning and oiling them, a few at a time, so I broke out my recently-purchased faux clays. Nobody commented either way, but I enjoyed using them. They feel and sound great. I don't like the injection mold spot, but I just turn the chip over so I don't see it. And they are so much better than the 11.5 gram diamond chips so many people have. I hate those. |

Chips: 342 | | | Re: My First Faux Clay Tourney Good to hear nobody said anything about the chips (maybe they all loved them but didn't want to be the first to say so, haha). I just got my Faux Clay's yesterday. My first home game is on Sunday (at my friend's house), but as the dealer, I'm going to try to introduce these chips, even if only for a night (they are a million times better than the dice chips they use. Thanks to these Faux's, I can't even stand the metal *clink* noise anymore!!!)! They use this goofy breakdown of 5x5, 5x10, 5x25, and 1x100 for T300. As the dealer, the ten dollar chips really annoy me, so in my setup for their style of tourney (as they refuse to change the tourney format), I'm giving everyone 10x5 and 10x25 for T300. I know the first thing I always do is color up the 10's (as I'm dealing) and with the Faux Clay's, we could get away with more chips on the table (as they stack great!). I haven't even played a tourney yet, but I'm just loving them as I'm working on making tourney structures and the like for them!!! I think I may have to join the Faux Clay Nation as soon as I can get a picture of all my chips!!! |

Congratulations on your decision to go Faux (OP too). Good luck with them!

I want to get a low cost set of chips for someone as a gift and hopefully custom label them as well. |

I was also one that cared about the injection mold spot and I am so glad i removed them cause now in my eyes my faux clays have no imperfections. |
