Has anyone order from chips from PJCC?

Has anyone order custom chips from this web site, PJCC?
Specifically desert palms 100% Clay Poker Chips, they look to be composites.

http://www.pjcccustomizedpokerchips.com/index.htm

If you have, did you like the result?

Hmmm.. the images of the chips with 100 per cent CLAY inside appear to be abs chips-- Our rep saw some of their products in Vegas-- specifically the abs printed chips- similiar to what we do- he said the print quality was good but it takes something like 8-12 weeks for delivery-- I think they sub the printing out to china- evidently they have a factory that does small orders-- its the only way it makes sense based on their pricing-- either that or they just make VERY little profit doing it here.

VERY Nice people we were told- they primarily deal in Beanie Baby dolls and other crafts . Not sure on the Desert Palms--

Just to reiterate on China Clay chips from an old post-- US manufacturers' materials are UNIQUE to them except ONE large company in China- and even their material varies somewhat. If they come from China then the
" CLAY " is actually a mixture of calcium carbonate and ABS plastic.
BC, ASM, Paulsons- which have come to be known as the de facto CLAY poker chips- is a much different material.

Are samples available? If so may pay to order a few before making a lrge order--

Those appear to be the same chips that Jim has coming in.

Dosen't Jim at Thechiproom own that mold?

Judging from the prices quoted they appear to be the same "injection molded clay" chips that Jim is getting this week.

I believe Jim would be the owner of that mold design ... they're not composites ... they ARE clay chips ... yes, injection molded though, NOT compression molded ... which is what many of us are waiting to see (from samples) quality wise.

I don't have any experience with those chips in particular, but a buddy of mine has ordered non-custom chips (absolutely horrific looking coin inlay chips) from PJCC and I know was very impressed with their customer service.

Re: Has anyone order from chips from PJCC?

Im waiting to hear back from PJCC about ordering less than 2500 of these chips. I told them I would prefer to order them blank. What Im really hoping is that they have some on hand blank so I can have Joe print me some labels. I just dont want to wait 12 weeks for China. If it comes down to it I will order chips from Jim (ChipRoom) and remove the stickers myself and relabel them.

Joe, did you ever get any samples? I have these chips in hand and I can spare a few for you to experiment with relabeling. Let me know.

Re: Has anyone order from chips from PJCC?

Please don't laugh but I think THESE fell very close to Bud Jones coin inlay chips. I messed with a stack of these and a stack of BJ coin inlays and they fell very very similar. The only major difference is the weight and obviously the quality. The inlays one these are attatched using some sort of glue and they fall off occasionally. The plastic portion of these is exactly the same as a BJ chip. A friend of mine bought 1000 of these and after about ten tourneys using them I'm about to buy a set. They are cheap but are worth the money in my opinion.
