I'm up in the air right now. I want to buy a set of 600 chips of either the Proteges or the new Pauslons w/ shaped inlays. Before I say anything else let me just say that I have BlueChip chips (Desert Palms) and I love them. I also have Paulsons (Pharaohs) and love them. I like both designs for the new shaped inlay chips but I like the Proteges just a little bit more. Again don't bite my head off for what follows as I love BC chips. My only concern w/ the Proteges in potential QC issues with BC. I know they have been improving their QC with the last couple chip lines but we have all scene some of the stuff that comes out of the factory. I can't help but wonder just a little what these shaped inlays may look like considering what some of BC circular inlays look like sometimes. Again, I'm not bashing the Proteges or BC as I actually like my BCs more than my Paulsons as I like a harder clay chip. But like I said I can't help but wonder. What would you guys buy and why?
No choice for me to vote in this poll. I wouldn't be against getting the proteges, except the fact that I can't get in on the Pre-buy pricing. Found Chiptalk a bit too late. So for practically the same the price I'd rather go with Paulsons. I will not be buying the proteges at retail price.
Protege because the heavier chips are the best out for the home market. They are harder but imo I think thats better then being as soft os Paulsons homeline. They just get to sticky and dirty for me, I would go with the proteges hands down. BTW, I did!!!!
I've decided on the Paulsons. The fact that are on the concentric circle mold like so many old LV casino Pauslons makes them look classic. its a set that will never go out of style. Now the hard part, a three month wait.
Paulson with the shaped inlays will sell more than the Proteges because its a better chip and will probably sell for less retail and have a better resale value. I love the Protege inlay and its a tough call but look at the response to the latest Paulson group buy thru Palm Imports. I'll probably buy both but I'll buy more Paulsons. Hi Nugzy!
