Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

I'm up in the air right now. I want to buy a set of 600 chips of either the Proteges or the new Pauslons w/ shaped inlays. Before I say anything else let me just say that I have BlueChip chips (Desert Palms) and I love them. I also have Paulsons (Pharaohs) and love them. I like both designs for the new shaped inlay chips but I like the Proteges just a little bit more. Again don't bite my head off for what follows as I love BC chips. My only concern w/ the Proteges in potential QC issues with BC. I know they have been improving their QC with the last couple chip lines but we have all scene some of the stuff that comes out of the factory. I can't help but wonder just a little what these shaped inlays may look like considering what some of BC circular inlays look like sometimes. Again, I'm not bashing the Proteges or BC as I actually like my BCs more than my Paulsons as I like a harder clay chip. But like I said I can't help but wonder. What would you guys buy and why?

Re: Protoge or Top Hat & Cane Shaped Inlay Paulsons

IMO...the best chip would be the new Protege inlay design on the new Paulson mold.

Sorry...you have a tough decision.

I would choose Paulson because of BC qc.

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

No choice for me to vote in this poll. I wouldn't be against getting the proteges, except the fact that I can't get in on the Pre-buy pricing. Found Chiptalk a bit too late. So for practically the same the price I'd rather go with Paulsons. I will not be buying the proteges at retail price.

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

Protege because the heavier chips are the best out for the home market. They are harder but imo I think thats better then being as soft os Paulsons homeline. They just get to sticky and dirty for me, I would go with the proteges hands down. BTW, I did!!!!

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

Get 300 of each, and when you decide on one over the other, sell the other set to fund the one you like...or bump them both to complete your 600 sets!

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

I've decided on the Paulsons. The fact that are on the concentric circle mold like so many old LV casino Pauslons makes them look classic. its a set that will never go out of style. Now the hard part, a three month wait.

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

Im getting 100 Protege chips. 60 x $1000 and 40 x $5000. Those are the only two chips I really like.

I also want to get at least 100 of the new Paulsons. I cant decide what two denoms I want. Im leaning toward the 5 and 25.

Re: Protege or Paulson Shaped Inlays

Paulson with the shaped inlays will sell more than the Proteges because its a better chip and will probably sell for less retail and have a better resale value. I love the Protege inlay and its a tough call but look at the response to the latest Paulson group buy thru Palm Imports. I'll probably buy both but I'll buy more Paulsons. Hi Nugzy!
