Build your favorite Pharaoh's 100 chips set!

Which denominations will you use for 100 chips? I already have 300 tiki kings tournament set (25-100-500-1000) may be i can do different for this little 'gift from me to me' set.

May be for headsup or 3-4 players.

Re: Build your favorite Pharaoh's 100 chips set!

Given you already have a tourney set, you might be tempted to go with 0.25-1.00 for a low cash set... but I guess you could do that with 25-100 if you prefer the colours. Personally, I'd go for 100-500... 50 of each = "3 stacks of high society".

Re: Build your favorite Pharaoh's 100 chips set!

After further consideration I would suggest this.

95 x 100
5 x $500

This would setup 4 players with $2500 in chips :

20 x $100
1 x $500

for each player and then leaves you with 15 $100 chips and 1 $500 chip to make change with for whoever finds they are short stacked and needing to cash in a $500 chip for a few $100's without needing to ask another player to give up any from their own stack. The additional $500 you may or may not use but it just makes more since to buy an even five vs. just the 4 and an extra $100.

I guess this gives the added drama of being able to say I raise x thousand!! but it really doesn’t make for a "friendly" game... You have so few chips in front of you it not only makes for a short game but the players are forced to make moves earlier and be much more aggressive. I suspect most times this set would get used it would be between friends traveling or maybe a spouse or something and you would want the game a little more casual and drawn out. That’s just me.

Re: Build your favorite Pharaoh's 100 chips set!

75 100s and 25 500s for a tourney set.

For a cash set would have to be 80 25s and 20 1s.

I have to agree with circlencirlce here. I was thinking in terms of a heads up set with 50 of each:

25 x $100
25 x $500
for $15,000 each

But for 4 players, 95 and 5 is more practical.

Again though, if you already have a tournament set of tikis, will you ever actually use your pharoahs for a 4 player T2500 game? Maybe a cash set would be the best way to go...

80 X $0.25
20 X $1.00

gives you $10 per player:

20 x $0.25
5 x $1
x 4 players ... no chipping up, though.

And if you prefer the green and black to blue and white, then replace them accordingly.
... and you can always add on by getting more $1s and $5s in the future (or $100s and $500s, respectively)!

I agree with this setup
80 x .25
20 x $1

Unless you really dont like colors or something, this seems like best setup
