I was playing poker with a friend last night who was in the 2005 wsop main event last year and I looked at his card cover.
It says official tournament participant 2005 las vegas nevada on one side
and rio 2005 world series of poker on the other.
It is brass and may or may not have gold plate.
I did a google and found some circit event coins that are kind similar but none of these.
I never saw them before and they are quite nice and highly polished.
He said only about 5,000 were made and you could only buy them if you showed your reciept for the main event.
Anyone know any more about these and or how much they sell for?

I will post pics as soon as my batteries charge but I always enjoy seeing the smilies holding signs so go for it.

A guy playing in the seat next to me last week had one of these. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, but didn't bother to examine it closer. I don't think I've ever seen one of these until then, but for some reason I didn't think to ask to see it.

I am asking about these because he had extras.
After the WSOP when everything was closing up he conned the chick into selling him a few more.
He sold me 1 and has 4 more I might get.
They also come with a certificate of authenticity.
But since there has been little responce here if I get them I might just put them on ebay.

Never heard of it. Played 6 events this year. Have never seen one either.
Perhaps they are Officially licenced by the Rio gift shop?
I'd check there next time you are in town.
