How much better are we talking? (Faux vs. Diamond)

Due to the lack of available orange faux clays and my need to have a consistent set of chips, do you think i will be THAT dissapointed with a set of diamonds as compared to the FC's? I'm not questioning that the faux clay chips are of nicer quality, but when it comes to hosting just a general cheap home tourney do you think diamonds would do just fine? Could you maybe assign a percentage value to how much lower quality the diamonds are compared to the fauxs? Apologies for not just ordering sample sets, but i need the chips in a couple weeks.

I have both, and on a cheap chip scale
FC = 9 (a different mold would make a 10)
SD = 4.5

Aww its not that bad.
You have to be carefull because the diamonds come in 4 different weights.
Only get the heavy ones.
You won't be able to label them and they are slicker but I still rather have them than nexgens.

i have samples of both thanks to Capt Allin and imo the heavier superdiamonds are the next best thing.
I also tested them with both with left over labels i had and they came out fine.
The Superdiamonds appear to be made out of the same material as the Faux. They are a bit lighter by a smidge and sound a bif different. I believe if the superdiamonds were 10g they sould be the exact match of the Fauxs
Superdiamonds have a choice of many colors.

I ordered some of the 9g super diamonds from 5stardeal to check em out and the ones i got are nothing like my fauxs...feel very light and are pretty slick and are not made from the same material as the fauxs. Much more "plasticy". I'd like to get some of the faux like Super D's but it seems it's kind of a crapshoot as to what type you will get when you place an order.
