Chips: 186 | | | Anyone familiar with this item? Saw this on Zellers website. Normally the WSOP branded merchandise has typical 11.5 gram dice chips. But the chips actually pictured here look pretty cool.
I was just wondering if anyone had seen this before that could comment.

honestly dont know anything of these, but would bet they are just heavier versions of your typical mass produced "real casino weight" chips..
money better spent elsewhere

For the price, they might not be to bad and you could always just order one set of 100 to check them out before dropping money on an entire set. Please let me/us know what you think of them if you get some.

We have old post concerning these wsop chips from excaliber electronics i believe, the picture you showed is of a reload pack of chips, the sets of chips can be bought at the site i mentioned,i did a wear test on these chips and posted some pics of the results, not to good, but i must say in most cases they are fine for average play and look very nice, also the cost isn't to bad, enjoy them, better than any dice chips for sure, Here are a couple of pics on the wear test, also i would recommend the coin insert over the print version simply because they will last a lifetime of handling! http://www.excaliburelectronics.net/...2/merchant.mv?
Hope this helps!
P.S. The print version is 11.5 grams------The coin insert version is 12.5 grams---for the wsop chip i am talking about! |

Chips: 186 | | | Re: Anyone familiar with this item? Thanks Deejay. I did not really want to buy any, I was just hoping someone might have some feedback as my curiosity was peaked. Too often have I plunked down 40 bucks on some odd poker item just to "see" if the insides live up to the packaging on the outsides.
For example, I am having a hard time right now not going across the road to Chapters to satisfy my curiousity as to what, exactly, are the chips inside the cheesy Bookshelf Poker box. I saw it last week while shopping with the GF, and I am not allowed to buy poker impulse items anymore Well, at least not while she is around
Thanks for the info! Now I don't have to waste 40 bucks "just to see".. |

These were onsale at the Rio gift shop for the 2005 series. They sold them in sleeves of 20 for $10 or 0.49 each (nobody said that Harrahs were geniuses). The grey was not available in the store, only the colors shown. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
