I posted this in homegame general but seems to not be getting anything going. I thought that may have been the wrong thing, as you will see in the OP over there. This is also probably the wrong thread to start this in. However, I am looking to build my own table. I have just been using an 8ft folding table which I strap a felt to. I want to build a table similar to the one below which will have cup holders, a runner, felted middle, and seat 10. Want to build to which will help cover my current 17 regulars and the occassional dropins which I can stick at the kiddy table (fold out table top for eight).
There are a lot of "table" posts in the Poker Gear forum (under Home Game Advice). You might pick up some encouragement there -- lots of people post that they seemed to have relatively little trouble making tables using the Scott Keen forum advice.
I will also echo Scott Keen's site, which is the best all around poker table building website I have found. From Scott Keen's site, i found a link to Mark Junell's website, which is where i found awesome step by step directions that I used for my first table, which is:
